Vegan Comfort Food

A vegan version of something that you ate like crazy and/or had an emotional attachment to before you sprouted a soul and went vegan.

Vegan Comfort Food pretty much sums up my experience at The Hogtown Vegan in T.O. Back in the day I used to eat Caesar Salads and omelettes on the regular, but finding vegan versions of these two classics can be tricky, even at vegan restaurants. That's why I was stoked when I saw the brunch menu at Hogtown!

I mean, would you look at that omelette; just like the real McCoy. And taste? Heck yeah it's got taste! It was delicious! And my Caesar Sally was no slouch either. It's the item sitting right next to my new favorite BLT. Both were great. The Caesar had a nice Caesarey taste, and their tofu bacon and house mayo really took that sandwich to the next level.

I hadn't had a Caesar or an omelette in years. It was a nostalgic experience that definitely met my own personal criteria for vegan comfort food. Next time I'm in Toronto, I'll be back!
