This is Part 2 of 2 in the Toronto series.

Fresh is a classic vegetarian restaurant in Toronto. It's been around since 1999 and has three locations, with a fourth opening soon. My wife and I went to the one on Bloor.

For a starter we had their Quinoa Onion Rings. Take a look at the picture on the right. Notice anything missing? The correct answer is two quinoa onion rings. I was so distracted by their deliciousness I forgot to take a picture. Luckily, my wife remembered before all was lost. And the verdict? Honestly, they were the best onion rings I've ever had. Period.

From there I moved onto the Chipotle Bacon Burger. It's made with chipotle mayo, grilled tempeh bacon, lettuce, tomato, and jicama, whatever that is. OK, I Googled it. As far as I can tell, it's some kind of bean. If you feel like reading up on the wonders of the jicama plant, click here.

My wife said it was the best veggie burger she's ever eaten. The friend we dined with said it was the best veggie burger he's ever eaten. Personally, I'm going to put it in a two way tie with the veggie burger at Aux Vivres in Montreal. Which is better? It's too close to call.

Anything else? Nope, that's it. Fresh is a great restaurant. I'll definately be back!
