My goal with The Vegan Page is to encourage discussion about our society’s relationship with animals and to suggest a less violent alternative for our future.

Why Vegan?

Every year in North America close to 11 billion animals are raised and slaughtered for food, the majority of these on factory farms. Most spend their lives in intensive confinement, deprived of everything that is natural to them including family, access to the outdoors, and often even the ability to walk or turn around.

Today, even mainstream health professionals admit that eating meat and animal products is no longer necessary to living a healthy life. This raises an important question, namely; "Why cause the suffering and death of other animals when we don't have to?"

The following is a video produced by Mercy for Animals. It documents routine day-to-day operations inside factory farms in Canada and the United States. Take the time to watch it and decide for yourself if this is something you want to support or not.
